How to get work done by me...
Freelancer - Self Employed Option

You are freed from PAYE and Employment Law responsibilities. That would mean that in the hourly rate the following would be included:
  • Statutory paid holiday entitlements of 28 days pro rata
  • Redundancy and sick pay
  • National Insurance contributions (no contributions by you). The self-employed has not less insurance costs thru that, because self-employed Bookkeepers need to also have a professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance, besides paying the National Insurance contributions.
  • You do not have to pay extra hours for Contineous Professional Development, which is in average 30 hours per year, as well as no expenses for CPD seminars, courses or literature etc., this is included in the hourly rate.
  • No extra costs and time for you to search personnel for having work done when I am on holidays or unable to work because of illness. I get someone from my network contacts do the job.
  • Other benefits sometimes offered by companies like Pension Scheme etc
Download a Microsoft Office Templete Check List to determine by whom to have your accounts work handled: Employee or Independent Contractor . The following factors are compared: 1. Control factors   2. Financial factors 3. Relationship factors

Employed Option
Yes, there is a lot more administrative work and statutory responsibilities on your side, and maybe a bit more social security for me. But not only this aspect has to be taken into consideration.

Outsourced - Remote Option

This would mean that you post your papers by postal services or courrier to me. Or scan them to an Online workspace. An initial and occational visit at your place of business would still be necessary. Everything mentioned under Freelance Option is included in the hourly rate, plus costs for office supplies, IT support, work space, telephone costs. Postage is only included for regular letters, not for returning paper records by postal or courrier services. And extra cost for online workspace and other special services might be applicable, but this would be outlined in our "Letter of Engagement".
